What makes a model good for automation?
In the example of the Chair above, a series of planes were linked to a defined sketch, sketches were then created on those planes.
In all cases the sketches were fully defined, enabling the whole model to be easily modified to the customers’ requirements without the model crashing.
In the example of the frame above, the planes were linked to an undefined sketch, the model crashed when the overall size was increased.
This highlights the importance of careful planning of how the model is to be built, this is an area where our SolidWorks experience is invaluable.
